Google is strictly following mobile first indexing. Google index and cache the mobile version.

Google spiders crawl and index the mobile version of a website. If you have a responsive website, you have nothing fear. Google will index the mobile version. If your website still uses older desktop template, Google may ignore it entirely.

Google typically indexes the mobile version of a website first, especially since mobile-first indexing became the standard. This means Google looks at the mobile version for ranking and caching, even if the desktop version is available.

Thank you for your recommendation. I use a responsive theme for my site now. Same content and link structure on desktop and mobile versions. Thank you all for your suggestions.
