Can I Use My Own Modem For Asianet Broadband Connection?

Post by Minu Kurian »

Hello I have been recently transfered to Cochin and planning to go for Asianet broadband connection. I have a modem that I used in Mumbai. My question is if I can use this modem for my Asianet broadband?

Asianet Broadband Old Modem Usage Policy

Asianet broadband will not let you use youron modem to activate the Internet connection. I had a similar experience, the executive insisted me using the modem provided by them.

Modem Leasing Asianet Broadband Connection

Post by Stephy Johnson »

Minu, I used Asianet broadband five years ago. I did not purchase a modem from them. We can lease one if you are not planning to become a long time subscriber. I think the best option for you is to go for a modem lease.

You can ask them, but I don't think they will agree for you to use your own modem. They may reject it by saying security issues.
